Operationalizing Segmentation for LEN Introductions

Lenacapavir (LEN) offers near-complete protection against HIV acquisition — but whether it reaches the women who need it most depends on behavior, not biology. This Pulse Report presents findings from a three-country study (Nigeria, Zambia, and South Africa) of 18–29 year old women, using a behavior model to segment potential adopters by their level of readiness to adopt LEN. The results show that programs can — and should — sequence their efforts differently depending on whether women are ready, willing but not able, or not yet engaged.
